The East Java administration has announced that all official cars,
especially those with engine capacities of 2000 cc and above, must use
the non-subsidized fuel Pertamax in its efforts to save regional budget
spending.
“Each car has a 100-liter quota of Pertamax a month,”
head of the administration's public affairs division, Achmad
Sukardi, said Tuesday as quoted by tempo.co.
Previously, the administration offered a 200-liter quota of gas per month for every official car.
Sukardi said if the use of Pertamax was higher than the quota, officials in charge of the cars should pay for the excess costs.
The administration also called on all municipality and regency administrations to follow suit.
